To have a Great 2010 (Part 2)

Feelings, Mind, Soul 31 December 2009 | 13 Comments

The first post of this title mentioned that to have a great 2010 you’ve got to be connected with God because if you’re connected to Him your life stresses will be reduced!

During new year we set resolutions.  All of these resolutions are our IDEALS.  The problem with that is: our IDEAL always opposes the REAL things in life.

For this year we wanted to have good career, business with excellent ROI, very loving boyfriend & girlfriend, a romantic husband & an understanding wife, a life that is always financially & spiritually high.  In real life there is struggle to attain those…so we strain & stress ourselves to acquire those ideals.  We try to control things & people.  We try to become the GM of the universe, we try to solve everything by ourselves.  We play god & assume responsibilities that are not ours.

god_dependenceWhen you are connected to God you won’t pretend that you are perfect!  You accept the fact that your ideals may not happen but that doesn’t mean you’re a failure!  When you are connected to God you will learn to give up things that you cannot control & let Him be!  You will depend on Him!

With that as the foundation of the New Year, we can choose to strive for the ideals yet be comfortable with reality & be assured that God is in control!  Then life’s stress will be reduced & serenity will cover you!

May your 2010 be filled with days giving up things to God!
